NATIONAL SURVEY

The Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness (CCEP) has completed the first in a series of biannual national survey-based studies. The first study is titled: Preparing for Crises: Findings and Implications from the National Survey on Emergency Preparedness in Canada.

The objective was to gather information about how the public views Emergency Preparedness and to provide community emergency management professionals with information to enable them to adapt their programs to better educate the public on this vital issue. This study is part of a broader research program on the state of preparedness that will include sector specific studies in health, the environment, and other areas.

With the publication of "Preparing for Crises: Findings and Implications from the National Survey on Emergency Preparedness in Canada", the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness(CCEP) is launching the first in a series of biannual national survey-based studies. This is part of a broader research program on the state of preparedness that will include sector specific studies in health, the environment, and potentially other
areas as well.
