Richard Kinchlea

Richard Kinchlea has recently joined the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness as Director of Operations where, among several things, he oversees the content and operation of the Small Business Contingency Planning Program. Prior to joining the CCEP, Richard spent over 5 years as one of two Emergency Management Coordinators for the City of Hamilton and was Hamilton's designated Community Emergency Management Coordinator.

Richard is currently the Secretary of the Ontario Association of Emergency Managers, having served as both President and Vice President and sits as the OAEM Representative to the Continuity of Government Sector Working Group of the Ontario Critical Infrastructure Assurance Program. He continues to be involved with the development of the Emergency Management profession through instructing at Centennial College in Risk Management and sitting on the Program Advisory Committee for Sheridan College's Emergency Management Program.

Richard obtained his Bachelor of Environmental Studies, with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and has also attained the Associate Business Continuity Professional designation from the Disaster Recovery Institute.
