George Haddow

George Haddow is serving as a Research Scientist and an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Crises, Disaster and Risk Management at George Washington University. He is also a Principal in the Washington-based disaster management consulting firm of Bullock & Haddow LLC.

Mr. Haddow is the former Deputy Chief of Staff to James Lee Witt during his tenure as Director of the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). At FEMA, Professor Haddow managed the Director's communications activities. He was responsible for the development and implementation of FEMA's communications strategy in response
to Y2K.

With Jane Bullock, he is the co-author of two textbooks, "Introduction to Emergency Management" and "Introduction to Homeland Security".
